UK ‘Plan for Music’ offers funding and advocacy boost for national sector

The Plan accompanies a further £1 million funding tranche from the LIVE Trust and will see the government's first Music Champion appointed

The UK government’s new Plan for Music will bring forward £15 million in funding for the country’s music industry and see the appointment of former MP Michael Dugher to the industry advocacy role of the government’s Music Champion.

Alongside this, £1 million has been unveiled as the latest tranche of funding from the country’s voluntary ticket contribution to support the grassroots live ecosystem.
