Korean police bust ticket scalper who made €1.5m from resale

The alleged perpetrator resold nearly 9,000 concert and sports tickets, some of which for nearly 30x their original price

South Korean police have arrested an alleged ticket scalper who made nearly ₩2.5 billion (€1.5 million) from reselling nearly 9,000 tickets, some of which for nearly 30 times their original price.

A man in his 30s was arrested and indicted for purchasing 8,967 tickets for concerts and sporting events over nearly eight years, from September 2018 through April 2026, reselling them at marked-up prices.
