125,000 across Hurricane/Southside weekend
FKP Scorpio has announced dates for the 2019 events after welcoming 60,000 and 65,000 people, respectively, to Southside and Hurricane 2018

Organisers FKP Scorpio and MCT welcomed a total of 125,000 people to last weekend’s twin Southside and Hurricane festivals.
Southside – which takes place in Neuhausen ob Eck, in southern Germany – sold out, reaching capacity with 60,000 attendees, while Hurricane – at the Eichenring motorcycle speedway in Scheessel – was attended by 5,000 more. Both events were headlined by Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, Billy Talent and the Prodigy.
Other performers included Justice, Biffy Clyro, Franz Ferdinand, the Kooks (pictured), the Offspring, Portugal the Man, London Grammar, James Bay and NOFX.
