MusiCares distribues $15m for LA wildfires survivors

One year on from Los Angeles’ devastating wildfires, Recording Academy charity MusiCares announced it has distributed more than $15 million (€12.9m) in relief efforts.
From 7-31 January 2025, Southern California experienced several explosive wildfires that killed upwards of 30 people, destroyed over 18,000 homes and buildings, and burned nearly 60,000 acres of land, a disaster that ranks among the worst in the state’s history.
