UK’s Music Venue Trust announces funding package for grassroots venues

The funding includes £200,000 (€230,000) raised through The LIVE Trust's voluntary ticket levy

The UK’s Music Venue Trust (MVT) has unveiled a package of new funding to support grassroots performance spaces.

The initiative is backed by a £200,000 (€230,000) allocation from The LIVE Trust, collected through its ticket levy scheme, which sees venues voluntarily contribute £1 per ticket on shows over 5,000 capacity.

The funding is intended to upgrade production systems, artist accommodation, and provide energy audits, aligning with distinct MVT campaigns.
