EDC Las Vegas to grow to two weekends in 2027

The electronic mega event, which welcomed over 500,000 people this year, will also host programming between the two full-scale festivals

Off the back of its sold-out 30th anniversary edition, Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas’ promoter, Insomniac Events, has announced plans to extend its flagship event to 12 days in 2027.

EDC Las Vegas 2027 is set to run from 13-24 May at its Las Vegas Motor Speedway home, with programming set to stretch across its host city alongside two full weekend festivals – the first dubbed ‘dawn’ and the second ‘dusk’ – boasting identical lineups.

“I’m really excited to introduce ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ as the next evolution of EDC and offer new ways for headliners [attendees] to experience the music, art, connection and community that make this festival so special,” says Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella.

It is a notable ramp-up for the mega electronic event, which welcomed around 500,000 fans across three days over the weekend (15-17 May). More than 450 artists, including Martin Garrix, John Summit, Tiësto, Charlotte de Witte, and Steve Aoki, performed across the event, parts of which were also streamed through Apple Music’s new series, Club Live.

Part of the festival’s extension also includes a reduced daily capacity across the full weekend festivals, though organisers have not specified the new limit. A lower daily capacity is being positioned to better fan experience across on-site mobility, travel choices and accommodation infrastructure.

“[It is] enabling us to continue evolving, experimenting creatively, and sharing new moments”

EDC Las Vegas’s new structure can be compared to the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in California, which can welcome around 125,000 people daily across the dual-weekend festival.

“We wanted to reimagine EDC as a new type of immersive journey across 12 days and two consecutive weekend celebrations in one city we love,” Rotella says.

“This concept gives Headliners the freedom to choose their own path and join us for one or both weekends, while enabling us to continue evolving, experimenting creatively, and sharing new moments Under the Electric Sky.”

Full details of EDC Dusk Till Dawn are due to be announced in the coming months, with programming details between the tentpole festivals to be confirmed.

General admission passes start at $399.99 for one weekend (€345) or $599.99 (€517) for both, inclusive of fees. GA+ passes are priced starting at $499.99 (€430) or $899.99 (€775), with VIP upwards of $899.99 (€775) or $1,699.99 (€1,465), respectively.

Later this year, Electric Daisy Carnival events will also be staged around the world, with editions set for South Korea, Colombia, Thailand, and a Caribbean cruise experience, with a return to Mexico already lined up for 2027.
