AEG Presents doubles down on Austin with new venue

The entertainment company will take over a 1,700-cap space in the Texas capital, adding to its forthcoming 4,000-cap venue in the city

AEG Presents is dialling in on the “live music capital of the world” – Austin, Texas – revealing plans to add a second venue in the area to its portfolio with the revamp of Emo’s Austin.

The leading entertainment company is set to take over operations of the 1,700-capacity venue, with a plan to fully renovate and rebrand the space and reopen in early 2027. Planned improvements include upgrades to the sound system and front and back-of-house spaces.

The venue will add to AEG’s new 4,000-capacity purpose-built venue that is currently under construction, as part of the 109-acre, mixed-use River Park development.
