‘Who owns the fan relationship?’: Agents raise questions over Spotify Reserved

Some agents across the live business have expressed concern that Spotify’s recently launched Reserved feature could lead to a structural change in the ownership of vital tour and fan data, and to the sidelining of artists and management teams in fan relationships.
Revealed earlier this year, Reserved identifies an artist’s ‘top’ fans based on activity on its platform such as song streams and shares, and holds two tickets aside on Ticketmaster per user for upcoming shows on participating…
