KJK to take over Hamburg’s largest outdoor venue

The promoter will take the reins of the Trabrennbahn Bahrenfeld racecourse from 2027 in a bid to "strengthen Hamburg as a music hub"

German promoter Karsten Jahnke Konzertdirektion (KJK) is to take over operations of Hamburg’s largest open-air venue, the 40,000-cap Trabrennbahn Bahrenfeld racecourse, effective from 2027.

The site has previously held concerts by artists including Foo Fighters and The Rolling Stones, as well as Ed Sheeran, who drew 80,000 fans in an expanded configuration in 2018.
