US events axed as ‘dangerous’ storm batters East Coast

A slate of festivals and events on the US East Coast was cancelled over the weekend as a powerful nor’easter storm battered the region, including Maryland’s Oceans Calling and New York’s Global Citizen Festival and All Things Go.

Among the shelved events were Ed Sheeran’s two nights at Massachusetts’ Gillette Stadium and AC/DC’s show at New York’s MetLife Stadium, the band’s second weather-related cancellation on this leg, after a ‘hundred-year storm’ damaged Toronto’s Rogers Centre.
