Backstreet Boys kick off Düsseldorf residency with 450,000 tickets sold
The ten-night engagement is strategised to capitalise on what Live Nation called the band's 'deep roots' in Germany

Backstreet Boys have kicked off a ten-night residency at Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf, which is due to welcome 450,000 fans over by the end of its run on 7 October.
The event is dubbed the Into The Millennium- Homecoming: Live in Germany, with promoter Live Nation saying the performances “mark a special return to the country that gave them their first-ever platinum record with I’ll Never Break Your Heart, a country they called home 30 years ago.”
