As festival organisers look to cast their nets wider in the hope of attracting people from other countries to their events, fans are also increasingly looking across borders, and further afield, to get their annual festival fix.
So how do programmers and marketing teams ensure they are reaching those intrepid individuals that might be tempted to travel across borders, time zones, or oceans? IQ asked two events that have a proven track record for enticing foreign visitors – EXIT Festival in Serbia and Primavera Sound in Spain – to share some of their tips…
