From a distance, Austria’s live music scene appears to be firing on all cylinders. Seiler & Speer became the first homegrown band to sell out Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium, drawing around 50,000 fans to the country’s biggest venue in 2025.
It was a landmark moment for a market where stadium andarena business remains at record levels. “Business is constant and stable, which is a good sign in these times,” says Richard Hörmann, co-MD of leading promoter Barracuda Music.
