Euro festival organisers grapple with heatwave

Organisers from Austria's LIDO Sounds, Spain's Resurrection Fest and the UK's Isle of Wight Festival discuss the challenges of soaring temperatures

As the heatwave spreading across Europe turns deadly in countries such as Spain, Italy and France, the heat is on for this summer’s festival organisers.

Since late May, swathes of the continent have been experiencing record temperatures well above 30°C – and in some cases 40°C – with dozens of weather alerts now in place across France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and the Balkans.
