Live drives Dutch music export value to new high

Revenue from live performances accounted for 80% of the record €247m total, aided by the Netherlands' booming electronic music scene

International concerts and tours by homegrown acts powered the export value of Dutch popular music to a record high in 2025.

The latest study carried out by research firm Perfect & More BV on behalf of nonprofit organisation Buma Cultuur has revealed revenues generated by Dutch music activities abroad rose 12% year-on-year to €247 million.
