Roskilde Festival pledges €2m to youth and cultural causes
The Danish non-profit event will contribute the surplus from its 2025 event to a handful of organisations, including the Green Youth Movement

Denmark’s Roskilde Festival has pledged 15.4 million DKK (€2.06m) in surplus from its 2025 event to go to local youth and cultural initiatives.
Last year, the major independent, non-profit festival hosted 185 acts from 45 countries, including Charli xcx, Olivia Rodrigo, Stormzy, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, FKA Twigs, Wet Leg, Arca, Fontaines D.C., and Tyla.
The eight-day festival welcomed 100,000 ticket holders and was powered in part by 27,000 volunteers.
