Korean gov’t unveils €1.7m fund to boost indie K-pop acts globally
The new state-led initiative will provide 10 small- and mid-sized agencies with funding to help with overseas expansion and concerts

South Korea’s government has launched a €1.7 million funding initiative to boost K-pop agencies into overseas markets, helping to fortify the genre’s global growth.
The country’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the government-backed Korea Creative Content Agency have created a support programme for small and mid-sized agencies, in an effort to promote the sustainable growth of the K-pop industry.
