The results of the first comprehensive study measuring the US and UK live music industry’s carbon footprint have been revealed.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Climate Machine analysed data from over 80,000 events across the US and the UK to provide an “unprecedented, data-driven view” of live music’s environmental impact, with backing from Coldplay, Live Nation, Warner Music Group and sustainability expert Hope Solutions.
