Role: Booker/Promoter Assistant – FORM Presents
Hours: Full Time – 35 Hours per week (excluding breaks) + overtime/going to events as may be required from time-to-time for the completion of your role. Based in the Company’s London office, a minimum of 3 x days a week.
Start date: June/July (based on conversation / notice period with current employer)
Holiday: 30 days annual holiday (inc bank holidays)
Overview of role: To work alongside and assist Promoter, Company Director and Senior Booker/Producer and the wider FORM team across a range of booking and other promoter responsibilities
Location: This is role is based in FORM’s London office
Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working as part of and assisting the promoter team and wider booking team across company responsibilities
- Liaising with talent agents and managers; establishing tour periods, holding dates, and preparing financial offers and settlements
- Preparing post-event administrative process and financial reports for the company finance department and company directors.
- Liaising between company marketing departments and artists, providing marketing assets for co-use, delivery plans and event campaign reports
- Preparing pre-announcement set-up parameters including ticketing and production specifics
- Liaising with venues, establishing holds, securing dates, negotiating rentals and finalising post show settlements
- Providing proactive A&R / talent scouting for headline touring and the company special events / festivals (e.g Pitchfork London, NTS, Margins United and Mutations)
- Sourcing regional and national support talent options
- Support the preparation and delivery of original, proactive and pioneering marketing reporting and servicing for artists, agents and managers
- Provide company event representation and co-ordinating with artist representatives at events across the FORM programme
- Where required, liaising with tour managers, managers and artists, plus the wider company production departments and freelancers to participate in the technical advancing and closing-off of shows
- Provide support across broader company projects and work as required, e.g. Arts Council projects, non-ticketed events, special projects, and other aspects.
- Working with the full team across positive drives towards positive, inclusive and progressive work and industry culture within FORM, supporting the Directors and rest of team to be leaders within the industry
Previous experience/key skills:
- Ideally the candidate would have some experience in the music industry, live event space going into this role
- The candidate should have an extensive knowledge of the current landscape of music of different genres, be passionate about music and events and enjoy working within a team and the wider industry.
- They should be ambitious and driven to work in the sector; hard-working and have a very good eye for detail, paperwork and back-end systems.
