Director of Programme

Shape the sound of Birmingham.

We are looking for an exceptional Director of Programme to lead and deliver the vibrant, commercially grounded programme at B:Music.

With up to 800 events each year across Symphony Hall, Town Hall and beyond, this is a role with genuine scale, influence and ambition. You’ll shape a programme that brings together artistic excellence, commercial success and the extraordinary diversity and creativity of Birmingham.

You’ll set the programming strategy for B:Music, balancing artistic ambition with the commercial contribution that underpins our business model. You’ll have executive responsibility for the programme’s success – from what we present and who we work with, to audiences, reputation, risk and financial performance.

We’re looking for a strategic and commercially astute music leader with an established network of artists, agents, promoters and industry partners across multiple genres. Someone who understands how a great programme is built, knows how to negotiate the deal, and can turn ambition into outstanding live experiences.

You’ll lead a programming team and work across the organisation to make the most of our venues, audiences, commercial opportunities and partnerships.

This is a chance to make a significant mark on Birmingham’s cultural life – and on the national music landscape.
