DJ Tiësto has postponed an upcoming 7 August performance in Beirut, in the latest blow for the Middle East live sector, with local promoters citing challenges “beyond what we can overcome”.

Promoters Poltergeist Beirut attributed the move only to unspecified “challenges”, though the cancellation of the concert set for the Forum de Beyrouth in the Lebanese capital comes as the region’s touring industry oscillates between setbacks and signs of a revival in touring amid ongoing conflict.
