Barclays Arena: ‘We as an arena should help develop artists’

On the back of a record year, Hamburg’s Barclays Arena is turning its attention to bolstering Germany’s talent pipeline as it looks to diversify its offerings.

In 2025, the 15,000-capacity AEG venue capped off a record year by welcoming over 1.2 million across 156 events, with this year expected to deliver similar results.

“It was an absolutely fantastic year – we found our place in the international landscape of big arenas,” Steve Schwenkglenks, Barclays Arena’s VP & MD, tells IQ.
