Tributes paid to country legend Dolly Parton

The live industry has paid tributes to country music icon Dolly Parton after she passed away at the age of 80 yesterday (25 August). Parton’s live career spanned nearly seven decades, beginning with performances at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville at just 13 years old.

Across her career, she toured extensively, becoming known for festival appearances in her later career, including Glastonbury in 2014 and drawing an estimated 200,000 to San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in 2005.
