NZ’s Eden Park nearly triples annual concert allowance

The country's largest stadium can now host up to 32 events annually, as the country vies for more major concert tours

Eden Park, Auckland’s 60,000-capacity stadium, has announced that its annual concert allowance has nearly tripled, rising from 12 per year to 32.

The country’s national stadium, a frequent host of rugby union and cricket matches, has historically been allotted 12 major concerts a year by no more than six different artists. In effect, artists performing there would have had to play multiple nights for the venue to reach its quota.
