Germany flips script with national pilot of grassroots-led ticket levy system
Following viability concerns of the national ticket levy scheme that launched in January, the country's clubs are uniting for a new path

Germany’s live music industry has revealed plans to pilot a nationwide ticket levy system, with the Federal Foundation for Live Culture announcing a widespread roll-out of Club Euro, a solidarity-based contribution to help support the country’s venue ecosystem.
Funded by Initiative Musik, the trade body-led move will expand a model tested in Cologne, with clubs, music venues, and event organisers invited to participate.
