Since its launch in spring 2014, UK charity Music Venue Trust has built a reputation for energetic advocacy for grassroots music venues (GMVs) across the UK and beyond.

From defining a GMV for the first time, and watching that become recognised as an important part of the music ecosystem internationally, to working with peers across the globe to evidence the importance of these venues to the future of music, the context has usually been one of responding to crisis.
