Belgium has become a testing ground for some of Europe’s biggest debates around ticketing, resale, and pricing.

The country’s long-standing ban on for-profit ticket resale is now being tested before the European Court of Justice following a legal challenge from Ticombo, while Belgian consumer protection group Testachats and other consumer organisations filed formal complaints last year against Ticketmaster and others over dynamic pricing and Platinum Tickets, arguing that demand-based pricing lacks sufficient transparency.
