South Korea’s live entertainment market is operating at record levels, with concert ticket revenue reaching an all-time high of KRW 1.73tn and more than 3.58m bookings for arena pop performances last year.

Keeping pace with that demand, however, comes with its own challenges. Following the introduction of strict anti-scalping legislation, platforms and promoters are increasingly relying on identity verification – including facial recognition – fan-club pre-registration, and multi-stage presale systems to keep tickets in the hands of genuine fans.
