Good news for ticketers in the Netherlands – the government’s long-mooted VAT hike for the cultural and creative markets – from 9% to 21% – has finally been scrapped after public outcry and concerted campaigning.

Key primary ticketers: cm.com, CTS Eventim (who acquired See Tickets), Ticketmaster, WeTicket (owned by Weezevent) Secondary ticketing situation: There are currently no laws relating to ticket reselling in the Netherlands, but some resale platforms have placed caps on secondary sales.
