Arena Market: China

With a number of new arenas having recently opened their doors, and a live music market that’s reportedly set to surpass CNY 100bn in 2026, China's arena-level entertainment market continues to expand at a dizzying pace.

New additions to the map include the highly anticipated Greater Bay Area Sports Center, a Zaha Hadid Architects-designed complex that kicked off operations in late 2025. Set within a 70-hectare plot, it’s home to a 60,000-seat stadium and a 20,000-seat arena.

Already renowned for its sleek and innovative design, Greater Bay Sports Arena is located in China’s thriving Nansha District in Guangzhou and was designed to serve locales along the Pearl River Delta, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macau.
