Arena Market: Russia
Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 effectively ended large-scale international touring in the country, though a handful of acts continue to perform there, many dealing directly with Russian promoters rather than going through conventional booking channels.
Prior to the war, Moscow venues such as Megasport Sport Palace (16,000 cap) and Live Arena (11,000) drew major international names, as did the 4,000-capacity A2 Green Concert in St Petersburg.
Both cities’ arenas remain operational, sustained largely by domestic artists and the occasional international act prepared to work within the current constraints.
