In 2025/2026, Egypt’s arena economy is leaning on heritage-led cultural sites as premium performance venues, in place of a traditional arena system.

The Grand Egyptian Museum has emerged as a flagship live events venue since its official opening in November 2025. Located adjacent to the Giza Pyramids, it operates as both a cultural institution and a high-spec performance space, integrating contemporary programming into a historically significant setting.

There is a deliberate positioning strategy in the museum’s early run of events, with international performances including Croatian cellist HAUSER and Brian McKnight in December 2025, and Calum Scott (January) and Bryan Adams (February) in 2026.…
