Country Profile: Brazil

The market for international shows continues to thrive in Brazil, although the most recent period has not shown the same public euphoria witnessed during Taylor Swift's performances in the country in November 2023, when the singer packed six stadiums – three in Rio de Janeiro and three in São Paulo.

After a year that ended with sold-out shows from Chris Brown, Iron Maiden, Linkin Park, and Paul McCartney, 2025 began with the resounding success of System Of A Down’s South American tour, which sold 500,000 tickets, according to Pepeu Correa, CEO of 30e, who brought the band to Brazil.

Such success was only surpassed by Lady Gaga’s free concert in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, produced by Bonus Track, which gathered over 2m people at the famous beach, according to the local government. “For Lady Gaga’s show, Rio de Janeiro received more than 500,000 tourists – double the initial expectations – and the concert injected around BRL600m into the Carioca economy,” says Luiz Oscar Niemeyer, CEO of Bonus Track.
