Country Profile: Southern Cone
The Southern Cone remains one of Latin America’s most dynamic touring regions for international acts, but success can be uneven.
Argentina and Chile anchor the circuit with major stadium and arena business, yet promoters still contend with sharp currency swings, inflationary pressures, and regulatory shifts that can unsettle mid-sized shows.
Uruguay, while smaller in scale, has emerged as a strong and profitable stop thanks to high per-capita spending, cross-border audiences, and the success of Montevideo’s Antel Arena. Paraguay, meanwhile, is increasingly part of routing for top acts, but demand remains event-driven and less consistent.
Despite these challenges, 2025 is one of the busiest years on record: River Plate’s Monumental and Santiago’s Estadio Nacional are booked solid, Movistar Arenas across markets sustain throughput, and festivals from Quilmes Rock to Lollapalooza Chile consolidate the region’s global pull.
