The international touring business has understandably given Israel a wide berth over the past two years, though that doesn’t mean there have been no shows at all.
“The local scene is as lively as ever – and probably more than ever, as the local acts are compensating for the lack of international acts with mega-shows of their own,” says Oren Arnon, CEO of prominent international promoter Shuki Weiss.
“But I think it’s safe to assume there won’t be any major touring here in the foreseeable future.”
Of the large local players, leading venue chain Zappa Group was acquired by Eventim alongside Israeli energy giant Delek Israel back in 2023, with a view to significant expansion. Live Nation Israel, formed in 2017 from the acquisition of Bluestone Entertainment, brought local star Noa Kirel to Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv this summer and has also recently staged global acts such as Justin Timberlake…
