Luxembourg may be small – both in terms of population and landmass – but it sits in an advantageous position between Germany, France, and Belgium, drawing fans from all three. That amounts to a potential audience of around 11m in the greater region, meaning the market punches well above its weight when it comes to tours and shows.
“We have the advantage of being able to dip into other markets that are nearby with a greater reach on a potential audience level,” says Olivier Toth, CEO of Rockhal and one of the country’s main promoters.
The venue has rooms of multiple sizes so it can attract a broad range of acts across music, comedy, and general entertainment, with recent shows including Alanis Morissette, Falling in Reverse, and Kiss of Life, and with Lorde, Wet Leg, and Mumford & Sons scheduled to play later this year.
