Although not sharing a border, when it comes to promoting music and live entertainment, Slovenia and Slovakia share a number of characteristics.
Both were heavily impacted by Covid and have struggled to return to pre-pandemic numbers; both are also grappling with economic factors such as high production costs, fans’ limited purchasing power, and ticket prices.
In Slovakia, key promoters include ProMusic, Agency Vivien (who brought Iron Maiden to the country this year), and Silvi Production, while agencies like Amadeus and Seahorse Promotion add diversity with smaller-scale concerts across genres. Major festivals such as Pohoda, Grape, and Uprising also play a significant role in attracting global names.
