Country Profile: Italy

With revenues of €894m in 2023 and up 33% from 2022 (as per Italian Society of Authors & Publishers data), the Italian live music business appears to be in extremely rude health.

A lot of the growth is coming from a very strong domestic talent base. While huge international acts will play Italy (mainly Rome), the rising fortunes of domestic acts means the market is not quite so reliant on imported talent.

“The market is in excellent health, with strong growth and a packed schedule for stadium shows featuring both local and international talent across the country,” says Roberto De Luca, MD of Live Nation Italy. “Some highlights have included Vasco, Cesare Cremonini, Marco Mengoni, Imagine Dragons, Bruce Springsteen, and Ed Sheeran.”
