In the second half of 2024, acts such as Bruno Mars, Metallica, and Jonas Brothers performed in the country, with the likes of Shakira, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, and Maluma filling venues so far this year.
Shakira reached a historic milestone in the country. As part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, the Colombian artist sold over 1m tickets across 28 concerts scheduled between the first and second phases of the tour, with an average ticket price of $53, says a spokesperson for promoter OCESA, adding that her shows generated 20,000 jobs in Mexico City, boosted hotel demand in Monterrey by 66%, and increased hotel occupancy by 43% across all host cities.
