Arena Market: Mexico
Mexico’s live music market is flourishing, but the country will have to wait a bit longer for its newest arena to come on stream.
Initially delayed because of the pandemic, the 20,000-capacity Arena Guadalajara was set to open in September 2024 but was pushed again to launch in early May this year with two Katy Perry shows. Less than a week from opening, all shows were called off as the venue was not ready to open its doors.
“We seek to offer you shows with the quality and safety that you deserve, and although we have made our greatest effort together with our contractors and workers, we are not yet completely ready to receive you,” said promoter and venue owner Zignia Live regarding the postponement.
