Arena Market: Slovakia
The market in Slovakia is challenging as it still recovers from the pandemic, with rising operational costs driving ticket prices up.
It’s also navigating inflation changes as it returned to 4% in March after reaching as high as 15.4% in February 2023. But its location next to Hungary, Czechia, Poland, and Austria does make it an attractive stop for tours.
André Rieu and Iron Maiden are due to perform at the 10,000-capacity Ondrej Nepela Arena in Bratislava after recent Hans Zimmer and Rod Stewart shows. Faithless also played in the
8,343-capacity Steel Aréna in Košice, the country’s second-largest city.
Michal Očovan, MD and CEO of ProMusic, says: “There is a strong appetite for live music, with audiences eager to attend both local and international acts. However, we see that fans are attending events less, or they are choosing which ones to attend.”
