Home to K-pop’s superstars and an increasingly frequented touring destination for international artists, South Korea has taken significant steps in recent years to expand its arena-level offerings for large-scale concert productions.
“The post-pandemic recovery is robust,” says Tommy Jinho Yoon, CEO of ICA-Live-Asia. “Major international tours (from pop to rock to EDM) routinely include Seoul dates.
Venues like KSPO Dome (15,000) and Jamsil Indoor Stadium (12,000) report sell-outs within minutes, and the forthcoming Seoul Arena will further expand capacity to 28,000 – cementing Seoul’s status as a premier global live event destination.”
The appetite for live entertainment throughout South Korea is strong, and while international artists prove popular, it’s fans of the country’s domestic acts that are packing out arenas.
