Global Arena Guide 2025

Arena Market: Russia

Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, major international touring to the country has largely ceased. However, according to reports, some international acts still perform in the country, many bypassing traditional booking agents to do business directly with Russian promoters.

Before the war, artists would perform at the likes of Moscow’s Megasport Sport Palace (11,001) and MTS Live Arena (11,000), and the 4,000-cap A2 Green Concert in St. Petersburg.

These venues continue to operate, primarily hosting Russian artists and international performers willing to navigate the current restrictions. The 2024 terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall means that venue remains closed.

Outside the two main cultural centres of Moscow and St. Petersburg, acts still reach cities such as Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, Krasnodar, and Yekaterinburg, though the international presence is significantly diminished.
