Live music hasn’t stopped in Ukraine despite the war continuing to rage in the country. In fact, live performances have never been so important, both for a sense of unity and for the population’s morale.

After more than three years of war, the country’s promoters are well-versed in creating safe events, with many arenas having direct or close access to bomb shelters and a well- oiled process for getting people to safety if an air raid alert happens.

Ukrainian acts perform regularly across the country, and concerts are commonplace in the nation’s major indoor venues.

The 10,000-capacity Kyiv Sports Palace remains a key venue, continuing to host major shows. In May 2024, it hosted three sold-out shows from local artist Artem Pivovarov, demonstrating the strong domestic appetite for live music. The venue was a regular stop on international tours before the war and maintains its operational capacity.
