The SIAE (Italian Society of Authors and Publishers) reports that live music ticket sales in the country generated €894m in 2023, a 33% increase on 2022. A total of 23.7m fans attended shows across 36,000 events.

While 2024 was expected to be more modest compared to that record year, industry figures tell IQ they were confident 2025 would be a banner year, with more international acts returning to the market.

“The live event sector has confirmed strong growth again this year, following the trend of recent years, with many sold-out events and an increasingly diverse audience,” says Giulio Ferrari, president of Forumnet SpA, which oversees the 15,800-cap Unipol Forum in Milan. “The overall trend shows a strong interest in tours by well-established artists, but there is also an increasing openness to new proposals and emerging artists.”

Marco Gianesello, marketing manager at the 6,500-cap Kioene Arena in Padua, notes that a strong partnership with leading promoter Zed Live! is key to the venue’s success.…
